The Series-E operates in 4 different modes, each with different levels of electric operation:

Start/Stop Drive shuts the engine off when it’s not needed, such as idling at a bus stop, and starts the engine again when the bus is ready to accelerate.

Quiet Drive runs the engine at a constant level with an RPM just above idle speed.

Depot Drive shuts the engine off entirely and runs purely electrically for short distances.

Silent Drive shuts the engine off and offers all electric operation for extended distances.

Our Series-E system is up to 50% more fuel-efficient than conventional diesel buses and offers significantly reduced emissions. Plus, Series-E offers improved rider comfort, with a smoother ride, less noise and exhaust. And there’s increased reliability and safety, with fewer belts, guards and hydraulic lines.
